Neuropsychological Evaluations

Neuropsychological testing is a comprehensive look at strengths and weaknesses of a person’s brain

If your child is struggling academically, socially, or behaviorally, you don't just need a diagnosis; you need a clear, actionable roadmap.

At Hampton Insight, our neuropsychological evaluations go far beyond standard testing. Led by Jacqueline Rambo, who brings over 10 years of specialized experience as a NYS Certified School Psychologist, our assessment process is designed to uncover both their unique strengths and the barriers holding them back from what you know they are truly capable of!

What is a Neuropsychological Evaluation?

A neuropsychological evaluation is a series of interactive assessments, interviews, and observations that measure how a child learns, thinks, and processes the world. It looks at memory, attention, executive functioning, language, and emotional regulation. The result is a comprehensive profile that takes the guesswork out of your child's struggles.

Areas of Diagnostic Expertise:

  • Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD): Identifying executive functioning deficits and behavior challenges that impact learning and family life.

  • Learning Disabilities: Pinpointing specific educational barriers, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, and processing disorders.

  • Autism Spectrum Profiling: Advanced training in the ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) to accurately evaluate preschool-aged children through adults.

  • Emotional & Behavioral Challenges: Understanding the root cause of school avoidance, anxiety, and frustration.

Whether we are evaluating a preschooler taking their first steps into the classroom or a young adult preparing for the demands of college, our goal is to empower your family with answers and a clear path forward.
